Upon graduation from York University, Linda worked for the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, developing policies on recycling initiatives throughout the province. After 10 years of public service, she chose to dedicate her full attention to raising her two daughters in their young years. Since 1998, Linda has volunteered in pre-schools, elementary schools, libraries, soccer and hockey teams. She also taught Sunday School for 18 years at her parish in Mississauga. Her passion working with children led her to pursue a career as a Montessori teacher, a pedagogy which aligned with her belief in fostering age-appropriate independence and instilling a love for life-long learning.
Since 2008, Linda has joyfully taught Casa children and mentored many student teachers from both traditional ECE programs as well as Montessori teacher training programs. With a deep desire to help others grow, and as a natural step in her Montessori journey, Linda is delighted to join the faculty at Montessori Teachers College and help inspire a new generation of teachers.
Linda loves spending time with family and friends, whether it’s cooking and getting together for
dinners, relaxing in the backyard, taking long walks along the waterfront, or exploring new
wineries in Ontario’s Niagara region. She also enjoys taking Pilates classes and travelling to
European cities. Fun fact about Linda – during a vacation in Greece (a long time ago), she tried parasailing above the Mediterranean Sea.
Linda is a self-proclaimed lifelong learner. Taking on a role as Team Lead and Casa Coordinator
motivated her to pursue a Leadership Certification course at McMaster University. Her vision for
the future of Montessori education? To ensure that the authenticity of the method is upheld in
all classrooms, beginning with the invaluable training of Montessori teachers.
