The Infant Toddler Montessori Assistants’ Certificate course prepares you to work as an Assistant Teacher with children from 0 months to 3 years of age in a Montessori prepared environment setting.
The Infant Toddler Montessori Assistants’ Certificate course is based on the principals of Dr. Maria Montessori’s and Dr. Silvana Montanaro’s philosophy and methodology. Upon graduation from this Certification Course, you will be provided opportunities and the necessary skills, knowledge and practical hands-on experiences to pursue a career as a caring, skilled and qualified Montessori Infant Toddler classroom assistant teacher.
This certification course will provide you with a general understanding of infant toddler development within the context of the Montessori approach.
The Infant Toddler Montessori Assistants’ Certificate Course is designed to ensure that you also gain an understanding of Dr. Montessori’s concepts, including:
The Infant Toddler Montessori Assistants’ Certificate consists of eight modules and video presentations. It is flexible in that you can work at your own pace and on your own schedule. You will be assigned a tutor who will guide you through the course. Upon successful completion, you will be offered an Infant Toddler Montessori Assistants’ Certificate.
This course is a 3 credit course (35 hours) and is considered an Infant Toddler Montessori Educator Level 1 Course.
Montessori Teachers College does not guarantee employment to those who successfully complete the certificate course.
