“Understanding and Handling Emotions” is a professional development course which aims to equip educators to support emotional regulation as normal development, and to aid the child to understand and express their emotions in socially acceptable ways. Children are showing unregulated behaviour and this causes teacher concern and even frustration. Children are struggling with self -regulation and relationships. Understanding where these behaviours originate and how to best respond to them can help both the child and the educator.
