Biography

Kanchan’s passion for Montessori education was sparked when she enrolled her eldest son in a Montessori school, witnessing firsthand its profound impact on his confidence and appreciation for each child’s unique abilities.

With over a decade of experience leading Casa Classrooms and conducting in-house training workshops for new hires, Kanchan is dedicated to imparting Montessori principles and fostering a supportive community of educators. Beyond her professional life, she finds joy in outdoor activities like biking, swimming, and hiking, as well as nurturing moments of tranquility through yoga, music, and caring for indoor plants. Together with her family, she enjoys following sports such as NFL, basketball, and baseball.

Currently, Kanchan is actively involved in developing a curriculum to introduce non-Montessori teachers to the educational approach at her school, aiming to uphold Montessori’s timeless values while embracing modern educational needs. Her vision for the future of Montessori education centers on its dynamic evolution while maintaining its foundational principles, empowering children to explore, question, and learn independently.

A fun fact about Kanchan: she is in the process of adopting a retired racing Greyhound, eagerly anticipating a new addition to her family soon!
