Biography

Artemisa Gonzalez is a dedicated and passionate Montessori educator with a rich background in
early childhood education. Originally from Mexico City, her teaching journey began in Mexico,
where she taught English in a private school setting to young children ages three and up.

Artemisa later moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she lived, teaching Spanish to children ages 3
to 12 for ten years. Her experience there broadened her perspective and strengthened her skills
in bilingual and culturally responsive teaching.

Twelve years ago, Artemisa relocated to Canada, where she discovered her calling in
Montessori education. Since then, she has worked for nine years in the Toddler classroom and
is currently in her fourth year as a Casa guide. Artemisa is known for creating a warm, joyful,
and purposeful learning environment where children thrive academically, socially, and
emotionally.

Artemisa is also passionate about mentoring future Montessori educators. Her current focus is
to be a strong role model, guiding new teachers to enter the classroom well-prepared and with
a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy. She believes in leading with patience,
kindness, and professionalism.

Outside the classroom, Artemisa enjoys cooking, baking, and crafting. She is a proud mother
and grandmother; her two granddaughters attend Campestre Montessori School in Cancún,
Mexico, which fills her heart with pride and a deep connection to the Montessori path.
