We are looking for a compassionate, dedicated, and professionally trained Montessori Toddler Guide to be part of our early childhood education team.
The ideal candidate will possess Montessori accreditation (AMI or MACTE) and preferably be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) in Ontario (or an equivalent provincial body). Although holding the RECE designation is an asset and not mandatory, this role is vital in fostering a nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers aged 1.5-2.5 years, following the Montessori method and current Canadian early years standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an engaging curriculum for toddlers, addressing their physical and intellectual needs to promote healthy development.
- Assess students regularly and create individualized learning plans for each child.
- Conduct formal and informal parent-teacher meetings to communicate student progress.
- Ensure health, safety, and compliance with all Ministry of Education licensing standards.
- Assist with open houses and parent tours to highlight the School to potential families.
Qualifications: - Montessori Infant/Toddler Diploma from a recognized AMI or MACTE institute
- Current candidates in a Montessori course are encouraged to apply and should include their expected completion date in their application or cover letter.
- Preferred – RECE designation in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE)
- Experience working with toddlers in a Montessori setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks used in Canada.
- Excellent communication, observation, and organizational skills.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Assets:
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Experience in a start-up or growing school environment.
- Familiarity with digital tools for documentation and communication.
- Holding both RECE and Montessori Accreditation at the toddler level.
