Treetops Montessori Preschool, located in beautiful West Vancouver, is currently in search of a fun, caring, positive, creative, passionate and qualified Montessori trained teacher to act as Manager and Co-Guide and join our small team of 4, for the 2024 school year. Start date is September 2024, but if you are looking for immediate work, we could start as early as the end of June.

We are a family owned business that has been in operation for over 30 years. The position is full time from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm M-F and the school is open 12 months a year. September to June is when we run our regular Montessori program and in the summer months we run a summer school program. You have the choice to work 10 or 12 months a year, depending on your preference to work over the summer. Individual salary is very competitive, negotiable and dependent upon education and experience. We qualify for the ECE subsidy and your hourly wage will be minimum $28 (dependent on experience) plus the $6 wage enhancement per hour. I want to find the best and most caring Montessori teacher possible for our amazing classroom and families.

The school offers 4 weeks of paid vacation over winter and spring break plus, 6 sick/personal days. Our school offers a primarily Montessori program that incorporates some play based activities for children 2.5-5years old, for 20 students in the morning and the afternoon. Our school has one recently renovated and bright primary classroom. This position offers the successful candidate a lot of autonomy in the classroom. We incorporate extra activities like music, yoga, circle time, crafts, dance, karate and outdoor adventures. Please reach out if you feel you would be the right fit.

Qualifications:

• Montessori Diploma- AMI or MACTE certification and ECE Diploma with experience in a Montessori classroom
• First Aid and CPR
• Criminal Record Check
• Immunization Record
• Must already live in Vancouver and able to commute to the school
• Must be fluent in English and have excellent communication skills
