Experience/Certification:
- ECE Level 3 or 2
- Montessori Trained Certified
- PIC
- First Aid (up to date)
- Experience in working with children in childcare/classroom settings.
- Experience working with children with high needs. ( preferred, not
- required)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood
Other Qualifications:
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote active learning.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early childhood program ( ages 2.5 – 6yr )
- Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and assess children’s progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate special events, field trips, and parent engagement activities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
