Experience/Certification:

  • ECE Level 3 or 2
  • Montessori Trained Certified
  • PIC
  • First Aid (up to date)
  • Experience in working with children in childcare/classroom settings.
  • Experience working with children with high needs. ( preferred, not
  • required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Diploma/Certificate in Early Childhood

Other Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to create engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote active learning.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children.

Duties:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early childhood program ( ages 2.5 – 6yr )
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that promotes the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to each child, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to promote a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess children’s progress, documenting observations and maintaining accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and coordinate special events, field trips, and parent engagement activities.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
