Kidsville Early Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori Certified Teacher to educate, stimulate, influence, and care for children in a classroom environment. Join our team and build your career in early childhood education.

What will you be doing?

As a Montessori CASA School Teacher, you will set-up and lead the Montessori-based CASA program for children aged 3-6 years. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement a self-directed, inclusive learning program that supports children’s cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development.
  • Interact with Ministry staff and regulators for licensing and inspection purposes.
  • Maintain a safe and well-organized classroom environment.
  • Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs, and discuss progress with parents and staff.
  • Establish positive relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
  • Serve as a positive role model, demonstrating patience, kindness, and calmness.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain child records and implement emergency procedures.

Montessori School Teacher at Kidsville will need to have:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents, and coworkers.
  • Ability to utilize software application(s) for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations.
  • Highly organized, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong collaborator and team player.
  • Ability to take initiative in and out of the playroom.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Casa Montessori Diploma (AMI / MACTE Accredited Training)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Montessori school.
  • Flexibility to work shifts (7 AM to 6 PM).
  • Physical ability to lift and interact with children aged 6 months to 6 years.
  • Meet provincial requirements for childcare employment:
    • 2-Step TB test
    • Updated immunizations
    • Vulnerable Sector Check
    • Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
