Les Pierres Précieuses Bilingual Montessori is a private bilingual French and English Montessori school with the goal of meeting the daycare needs of our community and exposing children to a second language. Les Pierres Précieuses Bilingual Montessori is seeking to hire Head Montessori CASA Teacher for students 2.5 to 6 years of age. If you are highly motivated, energetic, enthusiastic and have a profound love of learning, you might be an excellent fit for this role.
The successful candidate will need to meet the following requirements:
- Fluent in French or English, or both.
- Montessori CASA Teacher Certification.
- Experience working with preschool.
- Interest in Montessori pedagogy.
- Previous teaching experience in a Montessori setting (an asset).
- Strong classroom management, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Professional, mature, warm, patient, and nurturing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR ‘C’ Certification.
- Clear Police Reference Check with a Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Updated immunization records.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or follow lesson plans, managing the learning experiences of students to ensure the needs of the groups and individual students are met.
- Maintain a neat, well-organized, and attractive prepared environment consistent with Montessori pedagogy.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and fundraisers as required.
- Track and report student outcomes, including preparing report cards.
- Provide consistent communication to parents on a weekly basis and conduct parent-teacher interviews.
- Attend after-school and weekend events, such as open houses, as needed.
