Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Montessori Early Childhood Educator II who is enthusiastic about implementing the Montessori philosophy in Early Childhood Education. The ideal candidate will have a Montessori certification, a deep understanding of Montessori principles, and a commitment to creating a supportive and enriching Montessori environment.

The Role
As an Early Childhood Educator II (ECE II), you will primarily be responsible for:

Montessori Curriculum Implementation:

  • Plan and implement Montessori curriculum and activities.
  • Create and maintain a prepared environment that facilitates independent learning.
  • Provide guidance and support to children as they engage with Montessori materials.

Individualized Learning Plans:

  • Conduct observations and assessments to develop individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents/caregivers to support each child’s unique development.
  • Foster independence and self-directed learning in each child.

Classroom Leadership:

  • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Guide children in developing social and emotional skills.
  • Implement effective behavior management strategies based on Montessori principles.

Professional Development:

  • Stay current with Montessori education principles and practices.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and training sessions.
  • Mentor and support colleagues.
  • Act as the school’s ambassador.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Educator II (ECE II) certification.
  • Strong knowledge of Montessori principles and practices.
  • Valid Certificate in Standard Level First Aid and Level C Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
  • Clear Criminal Record check, child abuse check, and vulnerable sector search.
  • Knowledgeable on Best Practices Licensing Manual of Early Learning and Childcare Centers.
  • Knowledgeable on Education and Early Childhood: The Community Childcare Standards Act.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their holistic development.

Desired Qualification:

  • Montessori teaching credential from a recognized Montessori training program.
  • Previous experience as a Montessori Teacher.
