We seek an individual to join our wonderful group of teachers, educators, and assistants.

A calm demeanor, quiet voice, natural intuition to read others, creative thinking, and passion for the education industry are all qualities that will make one a successful educator in this environment.

Duties involve
– Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities
– Provide one-on-one support to students with high needs
– Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe learning environment
– Help with classroom management and organization
– Assist with administrative responsibilities
– Work in the before and after school care program (opening and closing shifts)
– Facilitate washroom routines (including diapers)

Qualifications
– Experience in early childhood education
– Classroom experience working with children
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to effectively teach and engage with young learners
– Proficiency in English and French languages
– Knowledge of childcare and special education practices
– Strong organizational and time management skills

Pedagogy
Preference will be given to those familiar with the Montessori approach and Ontario’s pedagogy, “How Does Learning Happen?”

Hours
– Monday – Friday 
– 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
– Closed during Christmas and March break

Wages
– 6% vacation
– $20.37 to $23.86 per hour
– Annual health spending account (in house benefits)
