JOB DESCRIPTON
We are looking for a passionate and caring Montessori-trained educator who is highly organized, self motivated, and eager to inspire young learners. The ideal candidate is patient, proactive, and compassionate, with a strong ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will possess Montessori accreditation (AMI or MACTE) and preferably be registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE) in Ontario (or an equivalent provincial body). Although holding the RECE designation is an asset and not mandatory, this role is vital in fostering a nurturing, responsive, and developmentally appropriate environment for children aged 2.5-6 years, following the Montessori method and current Canadian early years standards.
Responsibilities:
- Co-lead a Montessori classroom, encouraging positive learning experiences.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support students.
- Apply Montessori principles to foster student independence.
- Communicate proficiently with students, staff, and parents.
Qualifications:
- MACTE-accredited Montessori diploma (CASA Level)
- RECE designation in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) is preferred
- A team-player mentality, with a passion for early childhood education
- Current candidates in a montessori course are encouraged to apply and should include their expected completion date in their application or cover letter.
- Experience working with CASA students in a Montessori setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early learning frameworks used in Canada.
- Excellent communication, observation, and organizational skills.
- Current Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
Assets:
- Bilingualism is an asset.
- Experience in a start-up or growing school environment.
- Familiarity with digital tools for documentation and communication.
- Holding both RECE and Montessori Accreditation at the CASA level.
