Meet Your Infant Toddler Instructor

Shadow Guan

Shadow Guan is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and holds a MACTE-accredited Infant/Toddler diploma from the Toronto Montessori Institute (TMI).

She currently works in an Infant Toddler Montessori classroom at Odyssey Montessori School, where she applies keen observation and respect for each child’s individuality to support their development.

Shadow discovered her passion for education at an early age, which deepened upon encountering Maria Montessori’s philosophy. Outside the classroom, Shadow enjoys scrapbooking, planning mini getaways and caring for plants. She has a cat and, despite being allergic, dreams of adopting more.

Meet Your Early Childhood Instructor

Kanchan Singh

Kanchan Singh holds a Bachelor of Art from Wadia College, a Masters in English from Pune University, a MACTE-accredited Early Childhood Montessori diploma from The Canadian Montessori Teacher Education Institute, and is a Registered Early Childhood Educator. She has over a decade of experience leading Casa classrooms and conducting training workshops for new hires.

She is currently developing a curriculum to introduce Montessori to non-Montessori educators, helping to ensure that foundational Montessori values are preserved while adapting to modern educational needs.

Her passion for Montessori education was sparked when she enrolled her eldest son in a Montessori school and saw firsthand how it built confidence and honored individuality.

Outside of her professional life, Kanchan enjoys biking, swimming, hiking, yoga, music and nurturing her indoor plants. She and her family enjoy watching sports together, particularly NFL, basketball and baseball. A fun fact: she is in the process of adopting a retired racing greyhound.
