Casa Montessori Teacher at The Mint School

Location: Toronto, ON Position Type: Full-Time Start Date: Sept 2026

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Casa Montessori Teacher to lead a class of 2.5 to 6 year olds at The Mint School, a high end Montessori school in Etobicoke. This role is ideal for a confident Montessori guide who is grounded in Montessori philosophy, skilled in classroom leadership, enjoys teaching young children, and is committed to fostering independence, concentration, and joy in learning. We are looking for someone to stay with school long-term.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a complete, orderly, and developmentally appropriate Casa environment
• Deliver high-quality Montessori presentations in Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, and Cultural Studies
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress in alignment with Montessori principles
• Foster a calm, respectful classroom culture that supports independence, grace, and social development
• Collaborate closely with classroom assistants and mentor them in Montessori best practices
• Communicate professionally and regularly with families regarding children’s development
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events
• Maintain compliance with licensing and health & safety requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of lead Casa (2.5–6) Montessori teaching experience
• Montessori diploma for the Casa level (AMI, Montessori Canada, or MACTE-accredited program)
• Strong classroom management and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eligible to work in Canada
• French language skills an asset
