Montessori Guide – Casa
Start: August 2026
Morningside Montessori School is seeking a dedicated, professional, who has a passion for working with children. We are a small school who takes pride in providing an authentic Montessori environment for children to flourish in. Our collaborative team is positive and dedicated. This full-time Montessori Guide position beginning in late August to start the September 2026-2027 school year.
Requirements:
• Must have AMI or TMI or MACTE Accredited Casa Montessori Diploma.
• RECE certification in good standing is considered an asset.
• Current Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Level C.
• Current up to date medical immunization record.
• Current Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening.
• A commitment to the Montessori Philosophy.
• Passion for working with children.
• Professional and Independent.
• Supportive and reliable person with a high level of verbal and written communication skills. • Patient, kind, friendly, respectful towards children, co-workers and families.
• Strong classroom management and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively as a part of a team.
• French language knowledge considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
• Implement and practice all Morningside Montessori School policies and procedures.
• Implement and practice all applicable CCEYA guidelines.
• Complete all required paperwork as designated by the office.
• Develop and implement an individualized Montessori program for each child including weekly planned presentations and record keeping.
• Provide collaborative support to the children and families in the classroom.
• Ensure clean, organized, complete and well-prepared classroom.
• Prepare an environment in which the furnishings and materials are complete and correspond to the needs of the students.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and attractive Montessori environment, including routine care and maintenance of classroom materials
Remuneration & Hours of Work:
• Hours of work are Monday to Friday scheduled between the hours of 7:15am and 5:30pm with some after hour requirements as needed.
• A three-month probation beginning at the start of employment will be in effect.
