Shadow’s fondness for education started young, when she discovered an affinity for guiding and sharing knowledge with others, a passion that was only strengthened when she discovered the teachings of Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori’s philosophy of respecting each child’s individuality and development resonated with Shadow, who has always believed that education should be based around a child’s individual needs and that keen observation is the key to a child reaching their full potential.

When she is not hard at work in her infant/toddler classroom, Shadow enjoys scrapbooking, planning mini getaways, and learning about how to care for plants. Shadow also has a cat and would love to adopt more cats, despite being allergic to them!
