Bright Scholars Montessori is looking for a Montessori Directress for the Casa program as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plan and create developmentally appropriate Montessori activities for children
  • Establish and carry out a daily activity schedule that incorporates storytelling, art, music, dramatic play
  • Attend to children’s physical needs for toileting, eating and dressing (as promptly as possible)
  • Discuss the program’s daily events and the child’s progress with parents
  • Protect/observe the children at all times
  • Possess excellent classroom management skills (make transitions fun and smooth)
  • Observe and discuss children’s progress at staff meetings
  • Organize space, equipment and materials before activities
  • Prepare craft materials and assist the children with creating them
  • Observe how children use materials and interact with each other and with adults
  • Use observations to expand and plan activities that recognize individual differences
