Position Type: Full-Time

We are interested to hire 1 or 2 additional Montessori-trained educators for our 3-6 year old class at our Christie campus. This role requires flexibility to blend emergent practice with the lessons of the Montessori pedagogy. You will be working on an equal level with other teachers in an open-concept classroom, and must be comfortable communicating in a co-teaching space to achieve success with all students.

You must also have:

• Level 1 or higher Alberta ECE certificate in hand
• CLB 7+ / clear and fluent English
• A strong command of positive child management and engagement techniques with a large group
• Grace and courtesy in a professional setting, with ability to co-teacher and lead as a team

Preference will be given to applicants who have immediate availability, as well as people with hands-on Canadian experience in a school or childcare centre working with ages 3-6.

Applicants must be able to commute reliably to the communities of Christie Park / Strathcona.

Our educators enjoy a collaborative teaching environment in calm and supportive spaces. Our classroom approach is designed to connect with children and the world around them through grace and courtesy, while offering the best in private education to children ages 8 months through 6 years. Our Centres are open from 7:30AM-5:30PM, and this position offers 6.5 or 8 hours Monday to Friday. Wage is discussed during the interview process based on experience/education/flexibility/fit, but is generally offered between $19 – $22 prior to govt. wage support.
