From the Dean’s Desk

October 14, 2015

I hope all our readers had an enjoyable Thanksgiving Holiday.    Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and gratitude and there seems to be more and more for which to be grateful each year.

We were delighted to welcome our new E.C.Diploma adult learners who started their studies with MTC in Toronto and in Calgary last month, with Helen Traicus leading the Toronto group and Sherin Alibhai leading the Calgary group.   We also began an Assistants’ course in Mississauga in September led by Nuzhet Karim.

We all enjoyed Graduation which took place in Toronto in September.  We are always very pleased to meet the family and friends who have supported our graduates each year.

We are grateful to Katie Lannaman who gave the splendid Valedictorian address to the group at Graduation in September.  Her inspiring words are attached.  MTC Graduation Speech 2015.

Katie married Beni recently and we all wish the happy couple many years of bliss together.  A picture of Katie and Beni is attached.

Future plans:

Toronto:   Our next Infant Toddler MACTE accredited Infant Toddler course will begin in January 2016.    Our Infant Toddler Assistants’ course will also begin in Toronto in January.

Calgary: Sherin will begin another Montessori Assistants’ course in January 2016.

CAMT:  I am pleased to be presenting a workshop on Developing Leadership Skills at the CAMT Conference on November 6, and look forward to meeting friends there again.

Until next time!
