News from the Dean’s Desk at

Montessori Teachers College on November 11, 2013

  •       Remembrance Day

Mr. Ken Maslen, a WWII Veteran, visited Bannockburn School today to share some of his memories with the children and staff.  I was honoured to be present at this very moving ceremony when the children’s brass band played Last Post, followed by a Minute of Silence.  The children recited and sang In Flanders Field.  Poems by Kohimo and Laurence Binyon were followed by a presentation to Mr. Maslen of a Poppy Wreath made by one of the Casa classes.
