Abacus Montessori – East York, ON
Abacus Montessori is a small Montessori school in East York that delivers authentic Montessori programs for our students. We are looking for an Elementary Montessori guide to start in mid-August to teach a small class of students from Grade 4 to 8 in the Fall.
The ideal candidate must have a Diploma in Lower and Upper Elementary Montessori training. Candidates currently undergoing training in a MACTE-accredited Upper Elementary Montessori program and due to graduate this year will also be considered. Some proven experience in an elementary classroom is preferred.
Besides the abovementioned qualifications, the following are must haves:
- Valid First Aid/ CPR training certificate
- Friendly, joyful and always responsive to the needs of the children
- Excellent communication skills
- Best practices in positive discipline techniques
- Flexibility and sound work ethics
- Ability to work independently and resourceful
- Minimum 2 doses of COVID 19 vaccine
Salary is commensurate on experience.
