This certificate course is 100% online and consists of 15 online hours. Learners will log in once a week for a two-hour virtual lecture.

Introduction to Mary Flewelling-Pinchen

Mary earned her A.M.I. primary diploma under the direction of Renilde Montessori and has over 40 years classroom experience guiding children at Montessori schools in Ontario.

Between 2006–2013, Mary acted as the Program Director for the Canadian Association of Montessori Teachers. Other highlights in her career include attending two A.M.I. congresses, establishing a new Montessori primary classroom in Chengdu, China and training prospective Montessori teachers in Vietnam and the Philippines. Mary has also provided many educational seminars at schools and conferences across Canada and was the lead Montessori Guide at Dundas Valley Montessori School for over 5 years.

Mary is the author of At Home in the Montessori Children’s House – Volume 1 and Volume 2 (third volume is currently underway).

Mary supports educators, parents and the Montessori community at large in their transformative work with children. Upon completing the Training of Trainers program, Mary joined the faculty at Montessori Teachers College and has been a key contributor in the development and broadening of the Early Childhood program.
