The Early Childhood Montessori Online Diploma Program prepares the candidate teacher to work with children from 2.5 to 6 years of age in a Montessori environment or Child-Centered Classroom. This in-depth diploma program will provide you with the knowledge of contemporary child development within the framework of the Montessori approach.

Program Details

The Montessori Teacher’s College Early Childhood Online Diploma Program is comprised of detailed theory lectures on Dr. Maria Montessori’s guiding principles of observing and following the child. Detailed presentations of the materials used by children 2.5 to 6 years of age in Practical life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Culture, Music and Sports will be learnt, presented and discussed in a vital prepared environment. The Internship/Placement will include supervised practice with Montessori materials and teacher practice in a Montessori school prepared environment in your local area. The internship/placement in a Montessori classroom is one of the most valuable learning experiences you will undergo. Working with children and being guided and mentored by experienced teachers provides you a wide range of real-life practical scenarios to learn from. You will learn how to observe, facilitate and support children in their developmental growth in a classroom environment. Your internship/placement provides you the practical experiences to apply your Montessori academic knowledge while developing your classroom.

  • Early Childhood or Casa Montessori Teacher, Early Childcare Teacher, Primary classroom teacher, Daycare school adviser, Early years administrator, ability to open your own Infant Toddler home school.

This program is accredited by MACTE, CCMA, and by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities Ontario.

Admission Process:

Course Admission Requirements

  • A diploma from a MACTE accredited college
  • A minimum of five years’ teaching in a Montessori environment
  • A university degree

  • Resume
  • Transcripts from most recent education
  • Vulnerable Sector Check (must be current i.e. within past 3 months)

After a full review of your documentation and interview, you will be notified with respect to your admission into the program.
