The Early Childhood Montessori Diploma Program (Intensive 6-months) prepares the aspiring teacher to work with children from 2.5 to 6 years of age in a Montessori environment or Child-Centered Classroom.
This intensive (6-months) program is based on the fundamental Montessori philosophy and methodology.This program will prepare you with the necessary resources, skills, knowledge and practical hands-on experience to pursue a career as a caring and qualified Early Childhood teacher who effectively guides children in a Montessori classroom/environment.
This blended (online and in-person) program is created with you in mind. Our interactive learning system is uniquely suited to combine flexible and self-paced online learning with in-person classroom practice, guided by our experienced Montessori faculty.
The practicum is one of the most valuable learning experiences you will undergo, and this will include supervised practice with a certified Montessori Teacher in a Montessori prepared environment. Working with children and being guided and mentored by experienced teachers provides you a wide range of real-life learning scenarios. You will gain knowledge on how to observe, facilitate and support children in their developmental growth in a classroom environment. Your internship/placement will provide the practical experiences to apply your Montessori academic knowledge while developing your classroom.
The Early Childhood Montessori Diploma Program (Intensive 6-months) is comprised of the following:
Synchronous online learning (1 evening virtual lecture, 2 hours per week)
Asynchronous online learning (self-paced, 10-15 hours per week)
Practical Review days
Observation
Practicum (360 hours)
