ML Montessori (MLM) is located in a converted church next to a park. We are surrounded by trees and are blessed with a large playground.
We are a small school with children ranging in age from 30 months-10 years. MLM is a family – each member cares not only for their own child, but for the well-being of all the students.
The staff is dedicated to the Montessori philosophy and it is the foundation for all we do academically and socially.
These positions are for applicants who can thrive working with a team of like-minded, dedicated educators.
The positions: Casa and Lower Elementary 2023-2024
There are many similarities regarding both positions. Team-teaching will occur in both. The successful applicants will be working with a colleague that has many years of experience at MLM. The Casa teacher will be working in a fully-equipped, brightly lit and inviting classroom with children 30 months – 5 years. Our Lower Elementary classroom is spacious and includes students from Grades 1-4. Your responsibilities will be shared with a very experienced colleague. Your focus would primarily be working with Grades 1 & 2.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Vulnerable sector check not more than 6 months old (as of September 1st)
- Valid First Aid certificate
- Up to date immunization records
- Montessori training at a MACTE accredited centre
- Experience teaching is always an asset
- Students currently enrolled in a Montessori training program for either Lower Elementary or Casa and is able to work in the classroom at the same time while taking the course will also be considered.
